21Wilberforce announces FoRB Global Action Summit 2021, an innovative program for emerging leaders to acquire and enhance skills to actively defend key persecuted religious prisoners of conscience and their communities.
Building on the success of previous emerging leader trainings, the free online Summit is designed for university and graduate-level students and young professionals with demonstrated commitment to leadership and human rights. The pre-summit online prep course will meet weekly October 11 – November 1 and the virtual Summit will convene November 5-7, 2021. This dynamic program has been expanded to offer emerging leaders the opportunity to hear from and engage with persecuted communities and IRF advocates, then work collaboratively in teams to craft a real-life advocacy campaign for a religious prisoner of conscience.
Major topics to be covered include Exploring the Foundations of FoRB, Influencing the Oppressors, Building Your Campaign Toolkit, and Prisoner of Conscience Advocacy models.
Apply online by October 8th. Applicants must demonstrate leadership abilities, dedication to human rights, and a commitment to stay involved with their campaign after the summit concludes.
