21Wilberforce is pleased to announce the appointment of J.T. Lent Jr. and Dr. Rev. Bruce Webb to the organization’s Board of Directors during the organization’s fall board meeting held in Dallas. The new board members began their three-year terms with 21Wilberforce effective October 24, 2024 and can serve a maximum of three terms.
“We’re excited to expand our board with two new members who will bring diverse expertise and insight to our work,” said 21Wilberforce President Wissam al-Saliby. “We have worked diligently to ensure that our board represents a variety of experts from private, public, nonprofit, and faith sectors, and the newest board members are no exception.”
T. (Tommy) Lent, Jr. earned his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1975. He launched his career at El Paso Exploration Company, which later became Meridian Oil and then Burlington Resources, in Midland, Texas. Tommy also worked for Parker & Parsley (now Pioneer) and Graham Resources Ltd. His roles varied from production and drilling to Regional Production Manager and Reservoir Engineering Manager. From 1999 to 2013, he served as Executive VP and was a founding partner at CrownQuest Operating, LLC, an independent oil and gas company based in Midland, Texas.
Now retired, he remains active in the oil and gas industry through teaching (Midland College) and consulting. Tommy and wife, Toni, live in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, and are active members of First Baptist Church – Marble Falls.
Dr. Rev. Bruce Webb was born in Big Spring, Texas, in March 1963. He and his wife, Nancy, have dedicated their lives to ministry; he has served as Senior Pastor at several churches.
Dr. Webb’s pastoral journey began at Island Baptist Church in South Padre Island (1991-1998), followed by Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas (1998-2007). Since 2007, he has been the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of The Woodlands, Texas.
He holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Proclamation (May 1996) and a Master of Divinity Degree (May 1991) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He also earned a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Texas State University in August 1987.
